A IS FOR ARTS. A.S.S.D.E.C.T. incorporates the culinary arts into its design by requiring the players to be engaged in cooking a meal (ideally outdoors on a BBQ grill) during gameplay. The finished meal must be delicious for the game of A.S.S.D.E.C.T. to have been a success.
S IS FOR SPEED. The game is divided into three periods. The rate of drinking accelerates to twice the original rate in the second period, and three times the original rate in the third period!
S IS FOR SKILL. A key component of A.S.S.D.E.C.T. is exercising hand-eye coordination skills to throw objects in the Game Box (TM).
D IS FOR DICE. A single die is rolled at various key moments throughout the game to determine the number of drinks a player must take.
E IS FOR ENDURANCE. A game of A.S.S.D.E.C.T. involves at least 3 hours of playtime, not including intermissions. Consuming the required number of drinks for this duration of time is a major test of the player's drinking endurance.
C IS FOR CARDS. Players draw 4 cards every 20 minutes. They may only view their cards while drinking, and must put their cards face down after stopping drinking. After 20 minutes have passed they must recite back the cards they drew from memory (number only, not suit).
T IS FOR THINKING. The players are required to memorize the A.S.S.D.E.C.T. creed. This, along with memorizing 4 cards for a 20 minute period of time, requires a major feat of thinking (especially in later rounds after significant amounts of alcohol have been consumed).
